HOW TO WRITE A TRAVEL JOURNAL

               1. Write the entries in the first person. Use ‘I’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘we’re’, ‘they’, etc.
               2. Use Past tense.

               3. Write about something that really happened to you.
               4. Keep it simple and use words that will help readers picture what happened.

               5. Make your entries detailed, describe your experiences by explaining your
activities, places you visited, people you met to give the readers clear
                  pictures about your experiences.

               6. Spot a “highlight of the day”. Mention the best/worst/funniest/strangest or
most unforgettable moment or experience on that day.

                7. Describe and elaborate your feelings.
               8. If you are feeling sad, explain what is making you feel sad. If you are happy,

write down why. Include your emotions in your diary. Do not be afraid to write
                  about your thoughts and feelings.

               9. Write in a chronological order. Start with events that happened early in the
day, and end with events that took place last thing in the evening.
              10. End it nicely. You may close your writing with a “conclusion of your day”, or a

                  wish for tomorrow.
              11. Don’t forget to check your spelling and writing. Make sure you can find 5W+1H
